Housing the legislative branch of the state's government, Washington state's Legislative Building was constructed between 1923 and 1928. Capped with a dome reaching 287 feet above the ground, the building has one of the largest masonry domes in the world. Visitors to the impressive structure can take a guided tour of some of the rooms used in day-to-day governmental proceedings, wander the gardens and memorials that dot the campus, learn more about the state's history and government at the Visitor Center and tour the nearby Temple of Justice. The building and grounds are just east of Capitol Lake in Olympia.
Tours offered daily 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on the hour.
